Homemade Deodorant

Hey! 😀

So I’m going to do something simple today… because it’s too hot to write. (Sweating!!!) ;P I’m going to share with you my deodorant recipe.

You Will Need:

  • 6 T. Coconut oil
  • 1/4 c. Baking soda
  • 1/4 c. arrowroot or cornstarch
  • Essential oil (optional)

First, mix the baking soda and arrowroot/cornstarch together in a medium-sized bowl. Stir in the coconut oil with a fork until it’s mixed together well. Add whatever essential oil you want (you can judge how much you put in by the scent, but I recommend about 5-10 drops). Store it in a glass jar or in an old deodorant container.

When you first make it will be soft, but it will harden by the next day. Also, if where you store is hot and/or humid, it will melt. And if you’re keeping it in an old deodorant container, it will leak right out. (Yikes!) Just make sure it’s in a place where it will not melt, or in a glass jar. (If it’s in a glass jar and it does melt, it’s ok to use. Just use your fingers to rub it on).

Sorry for the short post! I’m going to keep sewing. ;D Have a blessed day!
